REFERENCE BOOKS ON ART AND ARTISTS

The following reference sources are a good starting point for researching Latin American art.  The first one, Oxford Art Online, is a scholarly reference source that provides excellent coverage of the visual arts in all parts of the world.  The second, Encyclopedia of Latin American and Caribbean Art, is devoted to the art of Central and South America and the Caribbean from the colonial period to the present.  The remaining titles contain articles about individual artists and are a great help for finding more information about a specific artist.
