FINDING FILMS

Our library has many documentary films about dance and individual dancers.  To find them, do a subject search in OSCAR, the library's catalog, as you would for any other type of material on your topic.  (Hint:  To find films about a specific person, type the person's name with the surname first  --  for example: Jamison, Judith.)  When your results appear on the screen, click the "Limit/Sort Search Results" link near the top of the screen.  Then, under "Limit by Material Types," select "Streaming Videos" to see the films we have available to watch online, or "Videos" to see the films that the library has on  DVD and videocassette.

To find filmed versions of individual dance performances, do a title search in OSCAR and type the name of the dance.  Again, when your results appear on the screen, click the "Limit/Sort Search Results" link near the top of the screen.  Then, under "Limit by Material Types," select "Streaming Videos" to see the films we have available to watch online, or "Videos" to see the films that the library has on DVD and videocassette.
