HOW TO FIND BOOKS
You can find books about your topic by using the following databases.
- WorldCatWherever you may be this summer, you can find books and other library resources about your topic in a library near you by using this online guide to the collections of more than 10,000 libraries worldwide. Do an Advanced Search, then type DESAI, KIRAN in the search box to the right of the "Author" drop-down box to see the books by the author. Change to "Subject" in the drop-down box to find books about the author and her works. The results will show you which libraries near you have copies of the library resources that you want.
- OSCARIf you are close to Santa Clara University this summer, you can find books written by your travel writer by doing an Author search in OSCAR, our online catalog. Type the author's name, surname first (for example — Theroux, Paul), and OSCAR will show all the books we have by this author and where to find them in the SCU Library.
E-BOOKS
The library purchases many books in electronic format, to make it easier for students to access them from anywhere. It's particularly useful if you are taking an online class. Here's an e-book that could be very useful for your research project.
