FINDING RESOURCES ON CENSORSHIP

This guide is designed to help you find resources on  censorship for your assignment. First you will select a topic among the following ones:

  • Google and Internet censorship in China
  • Religious censorship in Saudi Arabia
  • Political censorship in Iran or Russia

After selecting your topic,  you will use the Internet and the library databases to find three sources of different types (magazine and mainstream periodicals, academic journals, blog/opinion sites). This research guide should help you decide when you should use the free resources on the web, and when to use the subscription-based library databases.

Remember that the point of the assignment is not only to find one source of each type, but rather to evaluate and contrast these sources.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you need more help.
