SOCI 134: Globalization & Inequality (Chiaraluce)

Welcome

Welcome to the SOCI 134 International News Guide

About this Guide

Welcome! This research guide will point you towards international news sources that you can use in your SOCI 134 course this semester. Use the left-hand navigation to begin identifying and exploring.

I also recommend exploring "How to Learn with the Library" (to the left) to get familiar with all of our services and resources offered not only this quarter, but always!

Hello from Your Librarian

Welcome from Your Librarian

Hi Students, my name is Melanie Sellar and your sociology course is one that I am supporting this academic year.

I'm the Head of Instruction & Assessment at the University Library, and I also specialize in sociology and religious studies. I've been with SCU for three years, but I have been living and working in California for the last thirteen years.

This academic year I am Zooming with students and teaching workshops. I'm ready to support you through email or one-one-one Zoom sessions. Don't hesitate to reach out if you are struggling to find research articles.

Ways to Contact Me

You can reach me through email at msellar@scu.edu for help online or to schedule a Zoom appointment.

My policy is to respond to your emails within 24-48 hours. If it's a quick question, I may respond even sooner, whereas more complex answers will likely take the suggested timeframe (and if it's received over the weekend it will likely take until Monday).

You can also use our 24/7 chat service, embedded throughout this guide, for pressing questions that are time sensitive.
