Renewing & Returning Your Checked Out Materials

The Library has extended due dates for items coming due during the closure. Please check your My Library Account for the status of your particular items. For questions about billing, replacement fees or other circulation questions, please contact the Help Desk via email at librarycirc@scu.edu.

To check the status of your items or to renew your books online:
  • Go to My Library Account.
  • Once signed into My Library Account with your SCU Login, you will see a list of items currently checked out to you along with the current due date. If renewable online, you will see an option to renew the item.
  • Please use our 24/7 chat service f you any questions or problems renewing materials.

Current loan extensions include:

  • Regular loans to 2020-10-01
  • Daily reserve loans to 2020-10-01
  • ILL loans to other libraries to 2020-07-06
  • If the closure is extended, due dates will be adjusted accordingly.
  • Due dates for items that came due before the closure haven't been extended.

We have also increased the number of renewals for LINK+ items:

  • Items with a 21-day circulation period can now be renewed up to 3 times.
  • Items with a 7-day circulation period can now be renewed up to 4 times.

The number of allowable renewals for LINK+ items will be reverted back to 1 renewal after we reopen. 

Returning items during the library closure, you may: 

  • Keep library materials until the library reopens.
  • Return items to the library book drop.
  • Mail items back to Santa Clara University Library, 500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA 95053.
