Election Season is Underway!!!

To the delight of every resident of these United States, it is election time! Our one year hiatus from campaign ads is finally coming to an end.

During years when there is not a presidential contest (AKA midterm elections), interest in politics and elections tend to wane. But there are a lot of issues stirring the pot this year which might change this tendency. High inflation, the on-going pandemic, debates about what is taught in schools, possible cancellation of student debt, etc. might encourage higher participation and turnout than usual. And now, the overturning of Roe v Wade and the outlawing of abortion in some states throws a huge wild card into the races. Will this issue helps the Democrats, the Republicans, or end up neutral? At this point it is anyone's guess.

The adage "may you live in interesting times" certainly seems appropriate.

As a bonus, you can also see a list of presidential hopefuls for 2024!
