
PSYC 140: Behavior Analysis

Course Description:
A scientific investigation of learning and behavior focusing on behaviorism and behavior analysis. Covers both classical and operant conditioning, but emphasizes operant conditioning and its application to real-world problems. (Behavior Analysis is the scientific study of the principles of learning and behavior that emphasizes the role of environmental variables in controlling behavior. First we focus on the basic science of behavior analysis ( topics will include reinforcement, punishment, stimulus control and extinction) with the goal of focusing on how the basic science can be applied to issues in public health.
