SCU Questions & Answers

In addition to the help available elsewhere on this guide, this page will focus upon specific questions raised by SCU researchers.

1. What's the difference between a "project" and a "folder" in RefWorks?

When you create a project in RefWorks, it allows you to keep separate the references for different research projects.

2. Can you export records to RefWorks from all the library databases?

You can definitely export from all the EBSCO and Proquest databases.  It also works really well with JSTOR and Project MUSE.  We are still testing the databases with a less common interface.  We'll post a list of databases that are compatible with RefWorks soon.

3.  What about OSCAR, the online catalog, and OneSearch?

It doesn't work well with OSCAR but you can export records from OneSearch without problems.
