Information on library and learning commons services during COVID-19.

General Information - Summer 2021

This guide is designed to provide you with additional information on Library and Learning Commons' operations and services at this time.  This guide will be updated as needed. 

Staff are available to assist you remotely. We encourage users to utilize the many remote information and services when possible. You will find links to these resources and services on the left.

Study Space & Printing

The Learning Commons is open to current SCU affiliates, including alumni. A SCU campus ID is required to access the building. 

Group study rooms are now available to use. Go to to make a reservation.


Current hours are:

  • Sunday: noon - 8 p.m.
  • Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Friday: 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
  • Saturday: closed
  • Archives & Special Collections is taking research appointments from 12 noon - 5 pm Monday through Friday.

The Learning Commons will be closed for the following holidays:

  • Sunday, July 4 (Independence Day)
  • Sunday, September 5 and Monday, September 6 (Labor Day)

Please note: Services may be suspended or modified based on local health guidance.

Pickup Service & Residential Delivery, & LINK+/ILL

The Library provides access to books and other library materials through Pickup, Residential Delivery Service, and LINK+/ILL. ILL and LINK+ services are currently operational but may be limited or delayed; additional information on submitting ILL and LINK+ requests is available at .

Returning Items to the Library

Check your Library Account for any items that may be due. If you are currently living out of the area and need guidance on returning library materials, please contact the Library Help Desk at
