Library and Learning Commons Services Update - COVID-19

Information on library and learning commons services during COVID-19.

Scanning Service & Course Reserves

The University Library offers a scanning service for current SCU students, faculty and staff. If you need a book chapter or a journal article within the Library’s collection, you can submit a request via your Interlibrary Loan & Document Delivery account to have that material scanned.

In your Interlibrary Loan account, select the option for a book chapter or an article. Given Copyright limitations, the Library can only scan a limited amount of material from one publication. Generally, one journal article or a book chapter is permitted. If the requested book or journal is available electronically, you will be directed to the online resource.

If you need access to a substantial portion of a book within the University Library collection, please use the Pickup Service or Residential Delivery Service to request the physical book. To obtain items not held by the University Library, please see LINK+/ILL Requests.

Please email with any questions about the service.
