SOCI 35: Intro to Research Design and Methods

Welcome! In the workshop activities, you will have the opportunity to:

• Identify the research question and research methodology for a scholarly article
• Develop and practice strategies for identifying facets of a topic in order to narrow it.
• Identify and practice use of sociology and social sciences databases for your upcoming assignments
• Identify the research question and research methodology for a scholarly article

Workshop Goal:

Develop a narrowed topic for your research question and then learn to use two sociology databases to find a quantitative, peer-reviewed journal article.
