This digital library of French and Francophone culture is maintained by the Bibliothèque Nationale de France. It contains electronic texts, images, maps, animation, and sound files representing the history, literature, science, philosophy, law, economics, political science, and more of France and the French-speaking world. Almost all "classic" works of French literature are included.

In addition to reproductions of a wide range of works of art and architecture from all times and places throughout the world, the collection also contains photographs and other images useful for study in many disciplines in the humanities and social sciences.
This database contains over half a million photographs and other images from the Associated Press, one of the world's major news agencies. In addition to state, regional, and national photos from North America, the database provides a large number of international photos, some dating back as far as 1844.
In addition to telling where to find journal articles and other materials related to film and television research, this database also includes over 36,300 images from the MPTV Image Archive. It is an excellent source for finding images illustrating how people and events have been represented in motion pictures and television programs.
This database provides full-text access to more than 1,100 major U.S. regional, national, and local newspapers, as well as leading titles from around the world. In addition to the text of articles, it also includes thousands of images that were originally published with the news stories. The years of coverage vary by title, with some newspapers going back to the early 1980s.
