There are many different newspapers collected at SCU Library. There are many physical newspapers in the Archives and Special Collections (see the page on Archives), but most newspapers in the University Library are digitized and you can search and read them online just like a journal article.
Some very prominent newspapers have their own collections, such as the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, or San Francisco Chronicle. Some smaller newspapers are collected in general historical newspaper databases. Use the same techniques to search these databases that you would for JSTOR or Academic Search Complete by using multiple key words and filters.

Provides full-text articles for 522 U.S. regional, national and international newspapers like USA Today, Indian Country Today and The Times (London). Also offered are transcripts from major network television and radio news, such as Face the Nation, CBS Evening News, CNN Reliable Sources, 60 Minutes, O'Reilly Factor, Hannity & Colmes, etc. Dates of coverage vary.
This database provides full text access to more than 1100 major U.S. regional, national and local newspapers as well as leading titles from around the world. Also included are thousands of images, radio and TV broadcasts and transcripts
Provides access to NYTimes.com, New York Times mobile apps, and New York Times in Education. Registration is required. Content includes Breaking News, Multimedia, Opinion, Blogs, Videos and more.
