South Asia Sources - Recommended resources from Professor Dasgupta

Here is a short list of where to find more South Asia resources

1.  A source for scholarly journal articles:   South Asia : journal of South Asian studies  .  To see all the articles in this journal, click on the link to get to the main item page for the journal.  Then scroll down to the tab marked "holdings".  The link will take you to the journal home page where you can browse or search for articles.

2.  A source for finding primary materials (for more information about primary sources, see the primary sources tab on the top menu).  

 South Asia Open Archives  The South Asia Open Archives (SAOA) | Print collection contains over thirty thousand (30,000!) digitized print items. These items include newspapers, serials, and journals; colonial reports, censuses, and government documents; works of art, history, and literature; studies in economics, politics, and social structure; reference works, dictionaries, and so much more!

3. A list of other important books and articles all about South Asia.  This list is a physical folio and is stored in our ARS.  To check it out just request it from the link page and it will be pulled and held for you.
