GIS Videos
The video below, Layers of Our World, looks at how geography shapes much of how we relate to our world. How GIS is applied to geography begins at ~3:30 minutes in. This video is produced by the GIS company, ESRI.
National Geographic has a short, 9-minute video on GIS: A GIS Journey (preceded by a 16-second advertisement). It, too, is produced by ESRI.
Both videos provide broad overviews of the mapping capabilities of GIS and how it is used in a variety of ways.
