Easier Access to Scholarly Articles

When you search for articles it can sometimes be difficult to tell if an article is available through SCU library access, especially if you are outside the library's website.

The SCU Library provides the LibKey Nomad browser extension to give you easy access to scholarly article PDFs, no matter where you are searching. This works in the library website, publisher websites, Google Scholar, Wikipedia, and other places.  Download the free extension, select Santa Clara University as your organization, and access PDFs with a single click!

When you have LibKey Nomad installed just look for the notification tag in the bottom left corner, like this:

LibKey Nomad

LibKey Nomad is a free browser extension that facilitates one-click access to SCU Library's full text resources while you are browsing on the web. If you land on an article or database while researching on the web, the LibKey Nomad extension will recognize when the Library can give you automatic access and insert a link to give you one-click access to the full text of the resource. To install the LibKey Nomad browser extension, follow these step-by-step instructions: 

1. From the LibKey Nomad webpage, click the download button:

2. When prompted, select the browser you typically use to search for journal articles:

 

3. From the LibKey Nomad page on the Google Web Store, click the blue "Add to Desktop" button:
