"This course focuses on the contributions of the geological and physical sciences to environmental science. The basic physical and geological processes that shape the Earth and govern changes in the environment are discussed. We will address questions regarding the continents, landscapes, oceans, freshwater reservoirs, and the atmosphere. How did they form? Which processes are taking place to change them? How are they affected by human action?"
