Slides

Building with BEAM by 100YearOldLibrarian

In-Class Activity 2:15

In today's class, you will complete a Google form, searching for at least 3 sources that will support your research question (choose one of the research questions for your Research Paper: Solito by Javier Zamora). You can use the tabs on the left-hand side (Background, Exhibit/Evidence, Argument, Method) to look for sources. As you find sources, come up to the Legos station and pick up Lego pieces to represent how you plan to use your sources. There are 3 piles of Legos. Each pile represent types of sources:

  • Background: Base Boards
  • Evidence/Exhibit, Argument, Method: Basic Pile
  • Any 3rd Source: Take-Your-Pick

Once you have found 3 sources, if time permits, you can continue to add to your Lego build by coming up to the Lego Station. Answer the question in the Padlet!

**No, you do not need to find a source every type of source BUT you should find at least a background source.
