Activity 1: What's the Difference?

In this activity, we'll be looking at different types of sources in a variety of formats. At your table, take a look at the physical items and also click on the links noted here.

  1. Can you tell which physical item at the table is a scholarly source and which one is a popular source
  2. Now, click on these links. Which one is a SCHOLARLY SOURCE or POPULAR SOURCE?

Activity 2: Finding Sources

We've done a lot! Now, I want you to find ONE popular source and ONE scholarly sources on the topic we investigated today. Do not use any of the sources we already talked about. Using the Padlet below, input your sources in the correct section (Popular Sources or Scholarly Sources). In the "Subject" line, put your name. Add the title or the 'permalink' to the source in the main section.
