Find Books

1. Go to OSCAR, the library catalog:

2. Enter keywords describing your topic.  For example

  • African Americans and voting rights 
  • elections and representation 
  • social movements and minorities 

3. Be sure to check book locations in OSCAR.  Some books are located in the ARS (Automated Retrieval System) and you need to request them, while some are in the stacks on the lower level of the library by call number.

Step 1:  Start your search for ebooks directly off the library homepage under the "streaming videos/ebooks" tab.

Step 2: Keep your search words focused on the big ideas or concepts. Use just a few words like "water justice" or "water rights".

Step 3: Once you find a title you like, connect to it by clicking on the "connect to this title online" box.
