Course Philosophy: The best way to improve your writing is to write on a regular and frequent basis, writing for a specific audience who will read your text critically.

Putting the Philosophy Into Action: In this class, you're not just writing for the teacher; you write for each other. This is accomplished by publishing a twice -weekly short writing assignment (short essay) on the class website. Throughout the quarter, twice a week you must publish a page (250 word minimum) of writing by 11:00 PM the day before the chapter you are writing about will be discussed. You are encouraged to reach each other's essays once they are posted. We'll read selected short essays in class.
