If you live nearby campus, you can search for and pick up a print book. You can find the book yourself within the main stacks of the library or request it for pick-up following the steps below.
Step 1: Locate the book in the library's catalog (aka OSCAR) off the library website.
Step 2: Once you find a book with "available" status, use the "Request this Title" or "Request from ARS" button to request it for pickup.
Step 3: Wait for an email notice from the library indicating your book is ready. Allow 1 business day for that notification.
Step 4: Follow the instructions in your email to pick up your book at the Help Desk once you receive notification.
If you get delayed or can't come, simply contact the Library Help Desk (408-554-5020, librarycirc@scu.edu) to make alternative arrangements.
If you live far from campus but within the continental United States and Hawaii, you can request up to 5 items per quarter to be mailed to your home -- free of charge.
We will mail you the materials via USPS; they should arrive within 5-7 business days. The Library will also send you return USPS postage and instructions for how to repackage/return your items. Questions about the service? Contact the Library Help Desk: librarycirc@scu.edu, 408-554-5020.

If you just need just one chapter from an SCU library book, we will scan it for you and send it to your interlibrary loan account. This is a great option if you need just one chapter and not the whole book. For copyright reasons, you are limited to one scanned chapter.
