The Journal of Structural Engineering is a longstanding, respected publication advancing structural engineering knowledge and practice. It features research on structural modeling, design, simulation techniques, new and existing structural systems, maintenance, rehabilitation, monitoring, and material behavior. The journal welcomes interdisciplinary contributions that make fundamental impacts in the field. Published by ASCE, it encourages authors to align their research with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals to promote sustainable development and inspire positive action within civil engineering and related disciplines.

Structural Engineering International (SEI) journal offers practicing structural engineers a mix of concise profiles on recent structures and detailed, high-quality technical articles. Contributions come from engineers and academics worldwide and undergo rigorous review by the IABSE SEI Editorial Board, supported by over 250 experts and 20+ correspondents. Subscribers receive print editions and access all issues dating back to 1991.

Focuses on structural integrity, emphasizing fatigue and fracture mechanics to ensure the reliability of materials and structural components of all scales. The journal publishes original, interdisciplinary research from materials science, mechanics, physics, chemistry, and engineering. Its goal is to inspire innovative, effective, and economical engineering designs by advancing knowledge on material behavior and structural performance under fatigue and fracture conditions.

Publishes scientific and technical papers addressing the evolving needs of structural engineering and mechanics. It welcomes research on new developments and innovative applications of structural principles and digital technologies for analyzing and designing engineering structures. The journal covers a wide range of materials, including steel, reinforced concrete, composites, masonry, glass, wood, and advanced smart materials like nanomaterials and bio-inspired materials. Its goal is to provide broad, integrated coverage of structural concepts and technologies applicable to various structural components and materials.

Advances in Structural Engineering was established in 1997 and has become one of the major journals in the field of structural engineering. To better fulfil the mission of the journal, we have recently decided to launch two new features for the journal: (a) invited review papers providing an in-depth exposition of a topic of significant current interest; (b) short papers reporting truly new technologies in structural engineering.
