Student Employment

Would you like to be a student assistant at the library? This guide contains job descriptions, expectations, and directions on how to apply

Your Online Application

Applications are now closed for the Fall 2023 Quarter.

Tips for completing the online application:

  • Applications sent via email will not receive responses; the only way to apply for a position is using the link above.
  • Answer each question completely. It's better to include more information than less.
  • Be specific. The more detail you provide, the better. Think of the application as your first opportunity for us to meet you.
  • Applications should be free of errors.
  • Review your responses before submitting.
  • We receive lots of applications - applying for a job does not guarantee that you will be hired. Please be patient.

If you are selected for an interview, bring a copy of your resume.

Your Interview

If your application shows that you have what we're looking for, we will reach out to you via email or phone to set up an interview time. Interviews usually take between 15 and 25 minutes.

Here are some helpful tips for your interview:

  • Arrive on time.
  • Know who your interviewer is.
  • Show up well groomed and well dressed.
  • Ask questions!
  • Come prepared with your schedule availability. (Please note that night and weekend availability are especially helpful for positions working at the Help Desk.)
  • If you are not going to be able to come to your interview, let your interviewer know well in advance.
