Information literacy and Library Essentials Tutorials

OneSearch Tutorial

This is a very brief interactive tutorial introducing OneSearch, the quick-and-dirty search engine for everything in the library catalog, OSCAR, along with thousands and thousands of articles from newspapers, magazines and scholarly journals, many immediately available fulltext.

If you decide to assign this tutorial to your class, be sure to tell students to provide their email when prompted at the end of the tutorial in order to have their scores emailed to themselves. You can then ask students to turn in this email as proof that they have done the tutorial. As a matter of fact, letting your students know you will be collecting their scores can be an incentive to actually DO the tutorial in a more thoughtful way!
