Information literacy and Library Essentials Tutorials

PsycInfo Tutorials

This is an interactive tutorial on the basics of searching the PsycInfo database.

The database is complex and sophisticated, so the tutorial is challenging. Many other subject databases (e.g. ATLA Religion Database, Business Source Complete, Health Source, Political Science Complete, Women's Studies International) use this same EBSCO interface, so this tutorial would help them as well.

If you decide to assign this tutorial to your class, be sure to tell students to provide their email when prompted at the end of the tutorial in order to have their scores emailed to themselves. You can then ask students to turn in this email as proof that they have done the tutorial. As a matter of fact, letting your students know you will be collecting their scores can be an incentive to actually DO the tutorial in a more thoughtful way!
