Academic integrity is the ethical commitment by all members of the community to "be honest in their academic endeavors" (SCU Student Handbook). The International Center for Academic Integrity expands this concept to encapsulate not just individual integrity but "cultures of integrity" within academic institutions. Creating cultures of integrity involves individual commitment, resources, and teaching practices that support student learning while embedding an ethic of academic integrity.
