Want to learn how to organize articles you find in your research and create bibliographies with a single click? In this session, you'll learn about the free, open-source citation manager, Zotero. This introductory session is perfect for anyone new to citation managers or with limited experience with Zotero. The session will be helpful for anyone wanting to organize their research, and will be especially useful for Capstone students, grad students, and others embarking on larger research projects. Note: For best results, bring a laptop to this session. Attendees without one can still learn how to use Zotero online on one of the in-room computers.

Description: As typing has taken over written communication, the ability to read handwriting, especially cursive, has decreased. This workshop will focus on tools and techniques for reading difficult handwriting. Bring your own hard-to-read written items, or come practice with materials from the archive!

Through hands-on exercises, you learn… How to target gray literature, PowerPoint presentations, and government reports… How to make the most of Google’s new AI function… Why you should try talking to Google … How to bypass clunky site search engines… How does Google Scholar work and more. This workshop will also look at how Google has changed its methods and algorithms over the years, and how user behavior and threats from competitors continue to impact the way Google operates.
