The exhibit officially opens on March 23rd, during Spring Break at SCU. Campus visitors may find this an easier time to find parking on campus, but are welcome to visit any time during business hours before the exhibit closes on April 21st.

The Santa Clara University Library invites you to join us for the Opening Reception of the Smithsonian’s The Bias Inside Us exhibit, which we are hosting from March 23 - April 21, 2024.
This special evening will feature opening remarks by Nicole Branch, Dean of SCU Library, and Nanci Nishimura, a member of the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service | Smithsonian Affiliation Advisory Board and a Partner at the law firm of Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy.
Guests are then invited to explore the 1,000 square foot interactive exhibit on the first floor of the Learning Commons.
This event is open to the community: both on campus members and the public of all ages.
Food and drink will be served. Please RSVP to reserve a spot.
Join the University Library for food, drink, and conversation at a special SCU Student Reception for the Smithsonian’s The Bias Inside Us exhibit on April 4 at SCU Library from 5 - 6:30 pm.
The Bias Inside Us is a 1,000 square foot, interactive Smithsonian traveling exhibition and community-engagement project aimed at raising awareness about and discussion around the social science and psychology of implicit bias.
From March 23 - April 21 the Library is hosting the exhibit on the first floor of the Learning Commons. It’s open and free to all students and members of the community.
Join us for food, drink, conversation, and explorations of the exhibit itself!
Unity Night is an opportunity for admitted multicultural and first-generation students and their families to come visit campus on Friday, April 12.

Library staff and student docents will welcome families during this time, guide you to the exhibit, and allow you explore it on your own. We'll answer your questions about the Library and our services, and show you some of the neat features of a college library!
