Library Undergraduate Research Award: Eligibility Guidelines

Who is Eligible for the Award

To be eligible for the competition:

  • You must be an upper division student (Junior or Senior)

 

  • Students should be enrolled as an undergraduate student (at least part-time) at Santa Clara University at the time of the award. Students who have graduated are not eligible.

 

  • Students should have completed a research project for a credit course at SCU during the Spring, Summer or Fall terms of 2023 or the Winter term of 2024. Revising and improving a previously submitted and graded research project is allowed and encouraged.

 

  • A project may be in any format or medium (as long as it involves research) such as a research paper, multimedia presentation, web site, fieldwork report, laboratory research project, etc.

 

  • Individual and group projects are eligible.

 

  • Winning students agree to contribute their papers or projects to the Scholar Commons repository at Santa Clara University.
     

Not Eligible for the Award

  • Papers with a faculty co-author
  • Papers created as part of a paid research position
