Studies of Sustainable Desalination of Groundwater Using a Membrane Apparatus.
Focuses on improving global access to safe drinking water through efficient groundwater desalination. Researchers developed a membrane apparatus that effectively removes salts such as nitrates (up to 99%), chlorides (56%), sulfates (62%), and dry residue (82%) from groundwater. The system's performance was analyzed under varying concentrations, pressures, and flow velocities. A technological scheme for sustainable desalination was proposed, ensuring compliance with sanitary standards and enhancing water quality. Additionally, the membrane system achieves 99% regeneration within one hour, supporting long-term, efficient use. These findings contribute to safer, more sustainable drinking water solutions worldwide.
